Everyone goes home. Every day.

Electrical work doesn't forgive shortcuts. Safety is the foundation our Director of Electrical Operations built his entire 20-year career on, and it's the foundation Nordline Power Industries is built on too.

Safety Is the Job

We work in medium voltage. We work on energized systems. We work on rooftops, in trenches, at heights, in remote locations, on tight deadlines. The math is simple: if we're not running a serious safety program, we're not going to be in business long, and we're not going to keep our crews intact.

So we run a serious safety program. Not because the prime contractor will ask for it on the prequal, though they will, but because it's the right way to operate, and it's the only way to build a contractor that lasts.

Our Director of Electrical Operations has spent more than 20 years in the trade across commercial, industrial, medium voltage, and utility work. Every one of those years was built on doing things the safe way the first time. That standard sets the tone for every Nordline crew, on every jobsite, every day.

Four Pillars of Safe Operations

01. Training

OSHA 30 and NFPA 70E electrical safety training maintained at the leadership level. OSHA 10 for field staff as appropriate. Site-specific orientation on every job. Ongoing skills development for crew leaders. Training is documented, current, and treated as a job requirement, not a nice-to-have.

02. Planning

Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) before scope kickoff. Pre-task planning at the start of every shift. Lockout/tagout procedures rigorously followed. The dangerous work gets the most planning, not the least.

03. Accountability

Stop-work authority for every person on every crew, no exceptions, no questions asked. Near-miss reporting without blame. Incidents are investigated, root-caused, and closed-loop fed back into the program. We don't let things slide.

04. Culture

Safety is talked about every day, not just at the quarterly all-hands. Crew leaders own it on their crews. Field staff are heard when they raise concerns. Nobody gets penalized for slowing down to do it right. That's the standard.

What This Looks Like on a Jobsite

On a Nordline Power jobsite, you'll see daily pre-task safety briefings. You'll see PPE used the right way, every time. You'll see lockout/tagout taken seriously. You'll see crew leaders backing up apprentices when they call out a hazard.

You won't see corners cut to save 20 minutes. You won't see crews working tired through a second consecutive 14-hour day. You won't see anyone climbing into something they aren't trained for.

Working with Prime Contractors

We integrate cleanly with general contractor safety programs. Pre-task plans, JHAs, OSHA logs, and incident reporting all flow through the prime's preferred system. We meet the prequal documentation requirements of major GCs and are happy to provide our written safety program, training records, and OSHA documentation on request.

Insurance & Bonding

General liability, workers comp, automobile, and umbrella coverage all current and at industry-standard limits for the work we pursue. Bonding capacity scaled to the projects we bid. Certificates available on request as part of standard subcontractor onboarding.
